Tom Brady and Irina Shayk’s affectionate weekend together launched their relationship publicly, but privately, the romance has been brewing for a month now, Entertainment Tonight reports. Sources spoke to the outlet and Daily Mail about the dynamic between Brady and Shayk.
“Tom and Irina have run in the same circle for a while and have always gotten along great,” a source told Entertainment Tonight, adding they first “spent time together” and “hit it off” during the late May wedding of Joe Nahmad and Madison Headrick in Costa Smeralda, Sardinia.
“The two have been talking for about a month and have enjoyed their time together, but it’s not too serious,” that source finished.
Not serious…yet, Daily Mail’s source seemed to hint, revealing Brady does see long-term potential in Shayk. “Tom is really ecstatic that this is happening, he feels that they totally get each other, and he really finds her extremely interesting, entrepreneurial, and has a clever sense of humor that really appeals to everything he is all about,” that source said. “She is not just a fling; he really wants to make this work. He always told himself after his divorce that he would only get involved with someone that a future could be made, someone he could eventually introduce to his kids. He really thinks very highly of her and where this relationship could go. He has zero worry with her, they seem to get each other and get along quite well.”
A second source echoed that Brady and Shayk did, in fact, hit it off at Nahmad and Headrick’s wedding, and Brady is the reason why Shayk went to Los Angeles in the first place. “They’re dating and having fun,” that source said. “It was Tom who invited Irina to his home in L.A. after they really clicked in May [at Joe Nahmad and Madison Headrick’s wedding]. They’ve been in touch ever since then, trying to line up schedules to meet. They have a lot of chemistry. They’re excited to see where it goes but it’s still early days.”
